Serco has historically had an imbalance in its workforce, employing more men than women, particularly in our business units and operational and technical roles, along with lower representation of women in our senior management teams. However, over recent years we have made good progress in redressing this imbalance.
Whilst we have more work to do, our 2018 median gender pay gap of 11.9% represents a reduction from the 12.9% that we reported for 2017. As an example of progress, our Serco Americas has been recognised in the Forbes Best Employers for Women in 2018 which is a great reﬂection of the focus we are placing on creating an inclusive workplace and culture.
